These kinds of incident stories only ensure that people lag behind their worldview. In that logic I have to find Paris more insecure than Mumbai, because in that first city I have been robbed once, not in the latter. The reality is that a house in Mumbai center is more expensive than a house in Paris center, which reflects the shifting reality in the world. One that accelerates because the West is full of frightened, unworldly people who are strengthened by media and politicians.

Income inequality is no more or less like jealousy. How rich someone else is, is simply not important. The only thing that matters is whether you as an individual have the freedom to determine your life and to choose the job you want and can do with the income you need.
