Fluctuating markets
F.G.
Has Trump finally come to his senses? Well, not really. In any case, Canada, the EU and Japan are selling US Treasuries on a large scale. This put the dollar and the creditworthiness of the heavily indebted country under such pressure that Trump had to give in or face huge problems. Rising interest rates on US Treasuries (which the US has to pay in a few months/years) and in the worst case even a devaluation of the dollar and replacement of the dollar as the main trading currency. After all, people do not use the dollar because of its practical green color, but because of its constant exchange rate.
That is why the world is relatively quiet when it comes to counter-tariffs and measures. People just had their own methods and did just enough not to appear inactive.
